SEC is a Palestinian, non-governmental organization offering solutions for the growth and development of potential and existing SMEs in Palestine.

The Small Enterprise Center (SEC) – Palestine was established in June 2003 within the context of a technical assistance project, financed and implemented by German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) development in Palestine. In February 2008, SEC was officially registered as an independent, non-profit organization with legal status granted by the National Palestinian Authorities with demonstrated capacity to comply with all applicable administrative legal requirements and fiscal regulations, pursuant to the Law of Charitable Associations and Community Organizations No.1 for the year 2000.

SEC’s main essential objective is to contribute to the development of the Palestinian private sector through enhancing the productivity and efficiency of micro and small enterprises which comprise the vast majority of all Palestinian business entities. The center’s activities, accordingly, focus on the provision and promotion of technical, informational and referral services for existing and potential SMEs.

During 10 years of work in three governorates including Ramallah, Gaza Strip and Tubas, SEC has been delivering its services to SMEs all over the Palestinian governorates to support individual enterprises and, thereby, striving to create a positive impact on the national level as a whole. SEC is working hand by hand with its partners to develop and empower the overall environment for the development of the existing SMEs and start ups in order to increase sustainable and productive employment in Palestine. SEC eventually contributes in enhancing the Palestinians’ economic opportunities and social lives.
