Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent is expected to: 

• Design and roll out an on-the-job training for Judicial Inspection, including coaching/mentoring during inspection visits;
• Develop and recommend procedures and a workplan for enhanced coordination and information sharing between the HJC and AGO Inspection departments;
• Identify key performance indicators to be used the Inspection Departments of the HJC and AGO to track court performance, drawing on existing data collected through the MIZAN II electronic case management system.
• Review and suggest improvement to the performance evaluation methodology currently used by the Inspection Departments, drawing on international good practice in judicial evaluation.

Required Skills and Experience:

Education:

 Advanced university degree in law or related field;

Experience:

• At least 10 years of professional experience in the legal field;
• At least 3 years of experience working on strengthening judicial inspection functions, preferably in the MENA region;
• At least two prior experiences in training/coaching of members of the judiciary;
• Experience working with UN-implemented rule of law programmes constitutes an advantage;

Languages:

• Fluency in English.
• Highly skilled in professional English writing.
