Job title: Kafalah program coordinator

Location: Gaza Strip

Contract: one year contract, renewable

Direct supervisor: CEO – Executive manager AMAN Palestine

Start Date: 01. February 2020

AMAN Palestine is a non-profit organization, established in Malaysia in 2004 by a group on young Malaysian youth that set a goal to work for Palestine causes, through an ambitious vision to be the first association in Malaysia and Indonesia to advocate and support the Palestinian people.

AMAN Palestine is seeking a competent and highly qualified Kafalah program coordinator to manage for efficient and effective implementation of orphans and poor families Kafalah, the Kafalah program coordinator will work under the direct supervision of AMAN Palestine executive manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the project implementation on all its locations Gaza strip, west bank and Jerusalem.
  2. To work quickly, efficiently and effectively on provide MANA Palestine HQ orphan department and sponsored with all requests organized and completed.
  3. To participate on designing new interventions and set the plans to improve the services provided to the target group.
  4. To conduct a needs assessment process and analyzing the collected data to presents the findings, prioritize and classified it in order to catch a new interventions ideas.
  5. To contribute on preparing a concept notes and proposals for the target group, based on the results generated from the conducted need assessment.
  6. To built time plans for all activities and sub-activates considering AMAN Palestine resources and project budget.
  7. To develop, review and sign agreements and MoU with beneficiaries, and facilitate events of signing agreements with partners for the approved related activities.
  8. To follow up and fully responsible of field team (social workers) at all work elements and running day to day activities to ensure an efficient achievement.
  9. Following up with administrative and financial departments to facilitate the payment to orphans and poor families.
  10. To participate in the design of activities, monitoring and evaluation of project activities, and develop the proper templates needed on gather data for reporting.
  11. To prepare and review the requested progress and final reports, administrative and financial reports, enclosing them with the related supportive documents and submit it to the direct supervisor on Gaza office.
  12. Facilitating the role of public relation in term of the related activities media documentation and fundraising requirements.
  13. Updating and reporting the direct supervisor regarding the project updates also, cooperate in configure the problems and challenges and suggest the solutions.
  14. Participate on meeting with partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders to review activities and planning.
  15. Work enclose with partners to train and build the capacity of social workers, and distribute tasks according to the field work load and daily productivity.
  16. Within the scope of work, participating in implementing AMAN Palestine policies and regulations in Gaza strip.

Essential experience and competencies:

  1. Bachelor degree in an appropriate field (social sciences, administrative, etc…)
  2. At least 4 years of a proven job experience in orphans and poor families Kafalah.
  3. Strong understanding of concepts, issues and techniques related Kafalah and orphans
  4. Strong communication skills and networking abilities.
  5. Highly organized, reliable attention to details and ability to work independently
  6. Excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with colleges, partners and donors
  7. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload and multitask.
  8. Fluency in both Arabic and English languages including both written and verbal communication skills
  9. Advanced computer skills
