The main responsibilities include:
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:

• Performs rounds and follows up on patients admitted to the pediatric department;
• Operates the pediatric outpatient clinic and examines pediatric patients referred for consultation by UNRWA Medical Officers.
• Provides necessary education, training and guidance to the Resident(s) and other staff in his department and other departments in Qalqilia Hospital.
•  Attends to all cases of caesarian sections operations and difficult labors for reevaluation of new born babies and resuscitate them.
• Performs medical consultations for pediatric patients in other departments in the hospital.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned

Conditions of service
Monthly basic salary JD 1,569.20.

To qualify for this position, you will need:

Education A university degree in medicine from medical school recognized by UNRWA. A post-graduate degree in pediatrician. A valid license to practice pediatric medicine in the West Bank.

Work experience At least two years experience in pediatrics after having obtained a special degree in pediatrics.

Language(s) Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic languages.

Additional Information:

• Will be required to attend any pediatric emergencies in Qalqilia Hospital after duty hours;
• Possession of a driving license valid in the country of duty station.
