The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Warehouse Worker, FSN-3
Duties
Incumbent operates and maintains a wide range of commercial vehicles and material handling equipment in support of warehouse and property management functions. Loads and unloads vehicles and shipping containers. Delivers, transfers and moves supplies, furniture, equipment and personal property. Assists in setting up official events, Arranges warehouse items to be stored and wrapped in order. Fulfills work order requests for supported offices and residences. Returns items to stock, cleans items prior to storage, minor fixing of some furniture items, assists with property accountability functions and engages in property inventory process. Ensures property is maintained and accounted for correctly in the warehouse. Oversees, manages, and coordinates the activities of contract day laborers. Serves as team leader for assigned tasks. Fulfills residential make ready requests and arranges furniture according to Post Furniture Appliance Pool (FAP) policies. Disposes FAP items according to Foreign Affairs Handbook guidelines, and makes sure they’re disposed properly.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Experience: One year employment in general supply operations is required.
Skills and Abilities:
Must have an Israeli class "C" driver's license.
Must have a forklift license.
Must acquire a Motorcycle license (at applicant's own expense) within the first six months of accepting the position. Failure to acquire the Motorcycle license within the specified time period will result in separation from the position.
Languages:
Level II (Limited) in English (Reading/Writing/Speaking) and Level III (Good Working Knowledge) in Hebrew or Arabic (Reading/Writing/Speaking) are required. (This may be tested).
Education Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required.
