Genetics Lab Technician – Jerusalem Hospital

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Genetics Lab Technician on part time basis 40% (16 hours/2 days) to work in our Hospital in Jerusalem. To apply you should have the following:

1. Bachelor, preferably Master’s degree in Biology from a recognized university.

2. Valid Palestinian or Israeli license to practice Medical Laboratory.

3. Minimum 1 year of experience in a molecular biology research lab or a clinical genetics lab (this should have included PCR & sequencing analysis, DNA & RNA extraction, cell line growth, IHC, western blot & other molecular biology techniques).

4. Good computer skills including office (word, excel, PowerPoint) & experience in referring to known genetics websites for research purposes & analysis of results.

5. Preferable experience in the field of Bioinformatics & analysis of whole exome results.

6. Motivation to do research & ability to plan projects in the field of ophthalmic genetics.

7. Ability to work in team & flexibility in working hours according to the needs of the lab.

8. Willingness to teach junior staff & Students.

9. Fluent English language.

10. Received COVID-19 vaccine.
