UHWC is NGO leading Palestinian  knowledge-based community healthcare organazation established in 1985, contributing to community empowerment in healthcare and promoting the comprehensive concept in the Gaza Strip.Its members are gathering a healthy vision for our slogan , "Health Service is a right to whoever needs it". UHWC is achieving community health empowerment and promoting the comprehensive healthcare concept through capacity development; primary; and tertiary healthcare; culture and health, and community health communication and advocacy programs

الوظيفة في المنظمة / Position in the Organization 

Main Purpose / الغرض الأساسي

• Operating, monitoring, maintaining, and trouble-shooting the Water Hygiene Sanitation (Watsan) facility and its processes, according to hygiene and sanitation standards and MSF protocols, in order to ensure a proper functioning of Watsan activities to improve the health conditions of the target population.
• تشغيل، مراقبة، صيانة، حل مشاكل مرافق المياه والصرف الصحي (WATSAN) وعملياته، وفقا لمعايير النظافة والصرف الصحي وبروتوكولات أطباء بلا حدود، من أجل ضمان حسن سير أنشطة مرافق المياه والصرف الصحي لتحسين الظروف الصحية للسكان المستهدفين.

Accountabilities/ المسؤوليات   

• Performing the Watsan day-to-day activities such as collecting and sorting wastes before disposal, keeping the incinerator in good working order, ensuring the cleaning and correct hygiene status of the latrines, cleaning the water storage and treatment tanks, etc.
• القيام بالأنشطة اليومية لمرافق المياه والصرف الصحي مثل جمع النفايات وفرزها قبل التخلص منها، وإبقاء المحرقة في حالة عمل جيدة، وضمان النظافة والحالة الصحية الصحيحة للمراحيض، وتنظيف خزانات المياه ومعالجتها ، إلخ.
• Knowing and applying security and hygiene standards regarding the operation of WHS infrastructure, taking care of his/her own safety.
• معرفة وتطبيق معايير الأمن والنظافة فيما يتعلق بتشغيل البنية التحتية لمرافق المياه والصرف الصحي، مع الحرص على سلامتها.
• Informing the line manager and/or technical adviser of any incidents that might compromise his/her (or that of others) safety or security.
• إبلاغ المدير المباشر و / أو المستشار الفني عن أي حوادث قد تعرض سلامته أو أمنه (أو الآخرين) للخطر.
• Ensuring the availability and correct usage of all material and equipment.
• ضمان توافر والاستخدام الصحيح لجميع المواد والمعدات

• Carrying out tasks directly related to the Watsan activities such as maintenance of infrastructures in the project according to MSF protocols and standards concerning the operation of water supply, waste management and excreta disposal, hygiene and infection control.
• تنفيذ المهام المتعلقة مباشرة بأنشطة مرافق المياه والصرف الصحي مثل صيانة البنى التحتية في المشروع وفقًا لبروتوكولات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود والمعايير المتعلقة بتشغيل إمدادات المياه وإدارة النفايات والتخلص من الفضلات والنظافة ومكافحة العدوى.
• Being responsible for equipment, tools, and consumables, verifying that they are safely used and maintained. Reporting to the supervisor any need of renewal and the weekly/monthly consumption
• تحمل مسؤولية المعدات والأدوات والمواد الاستهلاكية والتحقق من استخدامها بطريقة آمنة وصيانتها. إبلاغ المشرف عما هو  بحاجة إلى تجديد وعن الاستهلاك الأسبوعي والشهري.
• Informing the Supervisor of any difficulties, anomalies and problems that may affect the normal functioning of activities and tasks in his/her area of responsibility;
• إطلاع المشرف على أي صعوبات وأوضاع غير طبيعية ومشاكل قد تؤثر على الأداء الطبيعي للأنشطة والمهام في مجال مسؤوليته/ها.
• Assisting the Supervisor in Watsan data collection (waste quantity production, water consumption, etc…)
• مساعدة المشرف في جمع بيانات مرافق المياه والصرف الصحي (إنتاج كمية النفايات، استهلاك المياه، إلخ ...)
