Database Administrator
Role Summary:
Provide technical support to all RDBMS including Oracle ,MS SQL, MySql Databases and other related sub-systems. The DBA role may include Monitoring, troubleshooting issues, Maintaining Databases high availability, backup, recovery, archiving, tuning and capacity planning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Database Administration including installation, configuration, deploying upgrades, patching, maintenance, monitoring, tuning and optimization.
- Managing databases systems support and operations for all related logical aspects (tables, indexes, views, ...etc).
- Responsible for SQL queries tuning to minimize overhead and resources consumption.
- Performing backup and archiving strategy to insure data integrity and business continuity.
- Troubleshooting Database related issues and provide solution and workarounds.
- Database level auditing on Data definition or Data manipulation statements level.
- Managing optimum security level on all aspects (connection, encryption) for data.
- Daily operations tasks and s/w patches/fixes tracing and implementing.
- Establishing and calculating optimum values for database parameters.
- Specifying and control user access levels for each segment of database.
- Writing database documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata.
Work Experience & Qualifications::
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.
- SQL certified and/or any other DBA certifications is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Fresh graduate is accepted.
- 2 years of experience with Oracle Database and technology is highly preferred.
