External Relations & Governance Manager (local)

The purpose of the position is to lead the external engagement team and coordinate across all relevant other teams within the national office for the successful implementation of World Vision Jerusalem – West Bank – Gaza’s (JWG’s) overall external engagement strategy. It includes three primary purposes:

• Lead and coordinate the successful implementation of World Vision JWG’s overall external engagement plan, with direct responsibility to increase its strategic partnerships with government, local and international NGOs and faith partners and to strengthen World Vision JWG’s overall position in the local market for increased brand recognition, visibility and trust

• Coordinate and manage the It Takes a World Campaign

Coordinate the governance work of World Vision JWG with the advisory council and Amuta board, including support to mitigating legal and reputational risks.

Requirements

• BA in relevant field. Masters preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in advocacy, communications, external engagement or governance
• Past experience as a supervisor or manager
• Fluent in Arabic, English and Hebrew
• Strong analytical skills, project managements skills, and visual skills
• Good writing or story telling skills
• Able to hold competing needs and ideas in tension
• Experience relating to government entities and/or other strategic partners
• Creativity
• Experience serving on various leadership teams

• Full adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
