The Opportunity

In line with SCI’s strategic plan for the oPt, mid-level manager, provides overall technical and management support and supervision to a set of projects across SCI thematic areas.  Programme Manager will provide lead to an annual budget of 5 million US$ programme delivery a year for multiple projects in key thematic areas.  The post holder works closely and coordinates with project managers &officers in same thematic areas ensuring coordination of operations, systematic approach to partners including local NGOs and government.

In the event of a humanitarian emergency, the post holder will will participate in the response development and implementation as designated by the team leader and will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly

متطلبات الوظيفة

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in management, international relations, human rights, child rights programing, reporting and monitoring, law or social work.
  • At least 7 years of working experience in/with INGO, minimum five years’ experience in middle management post.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following thematic areas: education protection.
  • Previous experience working in volatile operation environment and in depth knowledge of education/protection challenges in Palestine.
  • Previous experience managing multi-million, multi-year projects. Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic;
  • Proven record of success and mastering project management cycle and donor communication.
  • Proven leadership managing consortiums. Previous experience of managing a team, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Accomplished level in key competencies; delivering results, networking and influencing and collaborative approach to business. Ability to function effectively under stressful conditions such as heavy workloads, and deadlines.  
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office and web applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Emails, Skype, Web search).
