Virtual Skills for Success: Employability Skills Program 2021

Are you unemployed, between 22-25 years old, and looking to update your professional skills to start your career on the right path?

AMIDEAST will be providing a 3-month, 120-hour training program delivered virtually followed by paid internships at Palestinian institutions and companies, supported by America House.

The Skills for Success® program will include different modules covering employability skills like communications, interview skills, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, time management and business-related technology skills, as well as a 20-hour business English module. This program is designed to increase personal awareness, workplace skills valued by employers, job search strategies and resources, and to provide a community-impact experience.

Five of the top performing participants will have the opportunity to travel to the United States for a two-week immersive and intensive professional development experience.

Eligibility Criteria:
1) Between 22-25 years old;
2) Reside in the West Bank or Jerusalem;
3) Have reliable internet and access to a laptop/computer;
4) Unemployed, proactive and eager to enter the workforce; and
5) Is not a U.S citizen or green card holder.

Participants must be available from February to April 2021 on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for the online training component. Participants must also complete 3-month full-time paid internships taking place from May to July 2021.

The deadline to submit an application is Saturday, January 30th. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
