Website Management Specialis

Job Summary

The website management specialist is responsible for end-to-end website management including the design, development and maintenance of hospital’s websites and web based applications. The specialist will work closely with all departments and services to ensure timeliness and accuracy of published information. The specialist will also be the lead graphic designer for the hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a friendly, well-structured and responsive website (front and the back end) ·using standard programming languages and practices
• Oversee the development of web content in both Arabic and English ·
• Develop and maintain rollout and annual website management plans and update the plans on as needed basis ·
• Manage graphic design production activities throughout the hospital ·
• Work closely with departments to deploy their content accurately and in a timely manner ·
• Work with the information management team on the development and maintenance of hospital’s intranet site ·
• Ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating at optimal levels ·
• Utilize scripting languages such as Javascript, HTML/CSS to design, generate and revise web pages, email ·templates, or to make website adjustments when necessary
• Manage access rights of different users on website ·
• Strategize and facilitate a more advanced infrastructure through the integration of current web offerings ·and third-party sites
• Analyze user needs and business processes to develop appropriate web design and content ·
• Design web graphics in accordance with requirements identified by end-users ·
• Design web-flow for the website, including creating new components, landing pages, and adjusting existing pages ·
• Work with public relations and marketing staff to support marketing initiatives ·
• Participate in departmental and hospital team meetings ·
• Work closely with the information management team ·
• Evaluate programming codes to ensure validity, compatibility and that they meet appropriate standards ·
• Conduct proper testing of web applications to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues prior to publishing ·
• Maintain job related documentation in an organized manner ·
• Train other staff on web development skills ·
• Maintain up to date job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming ·techniques, and computing equipment ·
• Participate in educational opportunities and self-development activities ·

Develop and maintain service budget ·

Comply with hospital’s policies and procedures ·

Participate in hospital wide performance improvement initiatives ·

Perform other duties as assigned 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems ·
• At least three (3) years of “Hands On” website design and development ·
• Training in web development and design (e.g. CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery…etc.) ·
• Training/Experience in graphic design applications (e.g. Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator…etc.) ·
• Experience with web production software ·
• Experience with responsive designs for mobile applications ·
• Experience in using web analytics and webmaster tools ·

Required Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages and internet protocols ·
• Excellent command of Arabic and English ·
• Strong communication and presentations skills ·
• Strong analytic skills ·
• Superior organizational skills with multi-tasking abilities ·
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time ·
• Must be a team player ·

Selection and Interviewing

Applicants who meet the above selection criteria will be shortlisted for interviews. The interview will include an opportunity for the applicant to demo a website developed by the applicant with both Arabic and English content to demonstrate the skills and the requirements noted in the job description. The applicant will also be required to provide sample graphic designs for hospital use (may use hospital logo or other images if needed)
