CANDIDATE PROFILE
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.      Ensure medicinal products are received and stored appropriately and securely to ensure potency.
2.      Regular checking of refrigerator’s temperature and expiry dates of all medications.
3.      Responsible for the accurate dispensing and timely distribution of medications by daily preparing the unit dose for all in patients.
4.      Ensuring that each patient got the right drug with the right dose, the right form and the right time by daily checking the doctor’s order and the patient’s Cardex.
5.      Preparing the medical unit’s needs of mini-stock medications and disposables.
6.      Responsible for checking the stock-level and storage of medications at hospital departments.
7.      Observing hospital and pharmacy policies in relation to medications and enforcing them.
8.      Preparing and quality checking sterile medications under sterile conditions (e.g anticancer drugs)
9.      Fill up all the paper and electronic works needed at the pharmacy
10.  Supervising and checking the work of the less experienced and less qualified staff.
11.  Responsible to medication-related queries from within the hospital
12.  Communicating effectively with other health care staff (physicians and nurses) to form the best treatment to the patients.
13.  Educate patients on drug effect, dose side effect and administration.
14.  Monitoring adverse reaction reports from departments.
15.  Work any other duties according to work needs and specialty.
