Job Description

BA/LGHR is recruiting a Site Engineer for a private contractor and real estate developer located in Jericho, Palestine, and specializing in building villas.

Reporting to: General Manager/ Owner

Type of Contract: Annual

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Managing and overseeing construction projects.

2. Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are implemented correctly.

3. Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.

4. Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets, and timescales.

5. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff, especially surveyors and the overall project manager.

6. Providing technical advice, solving problems on-site, and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.

7. Preparing site reports and filling in relevant paperwork.

8. Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

9. Supervising contracted staff.

10. Preparing reports as required.

Special Requirements & Skills: 

1. Previous experience in project site management.

2. Hands-on experience in managing contractors and sub-contractors.

3. Ability to produce progress reports and charts to the owner.

4. Ability to prepare (VO) reports and review claims.

5. Ability to coordinate supplier’s delivery schedules.

6. Ability to review designs and on-site construction drawings

7. Ability to work flexible hours.

8. In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design.

9. Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.

10. Strong leadership and organizational skills.

11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

12. Valid driving license.

Total Years of Experience: 

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Education & Certificates Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Engineering Project Management or similar.
