The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Armed Bodyguard, FSN-7.

Duties

Provides a comprehensive range of protective services designed to ensure the security and safety of the Chief of Mission (COM) and other personnel inside Jerusalem, Israel, and other areas as directed by the Regional Security Officer.  Serves as a protective security officer with responsibility for providing protective services during an assigned shift in accordance with established protective security operational procedures.  Must be able to work as assigned on weekends, holidays, and long shifts.”

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Experience:

•  At least two years of experience in protective or security related duties.  

Skills and Abilities:

• Incumbent must maintain a valid Class "C1" license and be capable of driving vehicles utilized by the protective detail.

Languages:

•  Level III (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing English and Hebrew are required. (This will be tested)

Education Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling (obtained high school diploma).

Evaluations:

• Applicants must meet all position requirements, including experience, education, language, and skills.
• You will be assessed based on your application score, language test results, and how your qualifications compare to the requirements of the position.
