The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Computer Programmer, FSN-9 Computer Rate

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION    

The Primary responsibilities of the programmer are to develop, maintain upgrade and troubleshoot production environment including SharePoint, local apps and Data bases, including both desktop and web-based applications. The incumbent is also a primary contact for all Department of State enterprise applications. The incumbent must be able to write code including both server side and client side using the latest platforms, frameworks and programming languages. The position reports directly to the senior LES computer management Specialist (CMS), and the Information system officer (ISO).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience developing and maintaining web based applications both in client side and server side. Experience with web user interface design and prototyping using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap and JQuery and server side programming languages such as .Net, C# and/or VB, including SQL integration.

Languages: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English and Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing Hebrew or Arabic are required.(This will be tested).

Education Requirements:

Education:Bachelor of Science (BS), in computer science and other information technology area or management degree with emphasis on information systems.
