The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for position of EFM Program Evaluation and Monitoring Associate, FP-5 in the Public Diplomacy office of the Palestinian Affairs Unit (PAU) in Jerusalem.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

The Program Monitoring and Evaluation Associate leads PAS efforts in research, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on PAS programming and grants. The incumbent also supports the Private Sector Engagement (PSE) team in devising and managing grants, as well as facilitating connections between Palestinian and U.S. organizations. The Program Monitoring and Evaluation Associate reports to the Public Affairs Officer for sectionwide monitoring and evaluation efforts, and under the guidance of the Private Sector Engagement Officer for PSE related programming.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of progressively responsible professional experience in program management, international development, and/or government relations. Experience with budget management and/or monitoring and evaluation is required.

LANGUAGE:  Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. (This may be tested)

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to draft informative reports.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.

Education: A four-year Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines is required: Business, Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, NGO or Program Management, Public Policy, or Monitoring and Evaluation.
